Magazine Front Covers
Print Design

Design Problem
The design problem was to explore a range of creative digital art styles using Adobe Photoshop, focusing on how illustration and photomedia can be combined to enhance visual engagement. The project involved producing works in three distinct styles: Draw + Image, Low Poly and Surrealism. Each required an understanding of how Photoshop tools and techniques could be used to manipulate and reimagine photographic imagery into dynamic, expressive art pieces.
Concept Development
For the Draw + Image design, I created a magazine cover that fused photography with digital illustration to produce a bold and visually striking composition. I experimented with layering drawn textures, applying vivid colour overlays and introducing abstract shapes to add energy and depth. This approach aimed to elevate a simple portrait into an expressive statement, highlighting how illustration can amplify the emotional and conceptual impact of photomedia.
Design Solution
Using Adobe Photoshop, I explored a variety of
techniques including masking, blending and custom brushwork to achieve a seamless mix
between drawn and photographic elements. These designs together demonstrate my ability to apply Photoshop creatively across multiple styles, transforming ordinary images into visually captivating artworks that balance technical skill with imagination.
